Bandaging “His” wounds and those of “others” seemed to be the best title to describe the “featured image” for this particular blog.
Why? You might ask!
Well, part of that question can be answered by going back to Thursday, June 25, 2026 – the 45th Anniversary of Medugorje and Mother Mary coming to give Her children messages from Heaven.
A “9 day worldwide novena” was prayed in anticipation of the anniversary and live-streamed by Marytv. When Our Lady arrived to give Her message each day, there was such a profound silence. That silence was heard interiorly even though there may have been noise erupting in the background – there was a “divine silence” in one’s soul.
So many were able to attend that “9 day worldwide novena” daily and wait patiently for the June 25th message. And it came as it does for us all to hear – to “listen to see” what our Mother Mary desires of us.
“Dear children, rejoice with me because the Most High permits me to be with you, to lead you to Him Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Rejoice, little children and be joyful also in difficulties and you will have the strength, because you will be aware that you are transient and you will know to offer everything to God.
That is why, do not forget: I am your Mother and I love you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
June 25, 2026 – Message of Our Lady of Medugorje
Let us look at the meaning of the following word taken from the message above:
Transient – means passing with time, remaining in a place only a brief time.
This word “transient” so fits our “time” in this world that seems to be passing by so quickly – and how we are making the best use of our time.
Here St. Arnold Janssen has a quote for us to take into our hearts:
“Never will we understand the value of time better than when our last hour is at hand.”
Typing St. Arnold’s words out above – I could not help but think of what the poor people were thinking of when the earthquake hit and the shaking was all around them – above them and below. The last hour was at hand.
What do we do with the time allotted to us – especially in these next 46 days?
On June 25th – the day of the 45th Anniversary – I visited a local thrift shop.
Upon entering the store, I looked at the donation table where usually there is something interesting to purchase. But – then I looked up. There on an easel was the image above of the “little child” bandaging the wounds of Jesus.
The image so spoke to my heart almost like an arrow piercing it with unexpected emotions.
I turned the picture around to see if there was a price, however, I noticed some handprinted words. They referred to Mirjana and the Medugorje visionaries. There was also a notation that the image had been given to a pilgrim by Mirjana and had been touched by Our Lady of Medugorje directly.
I was blown away! Not having my glasses on, I really didn’t get to read all of those words until I got in the car. I only saw the words Mirjana and Medugorje which led me straight to the cash register!
What was Mother Mary saying in this picture on the 45th Anniversary. . .to my heart and all that will gaze upon this poignant image? Let us continue our journey between Medugorje, Guadalupe and Mary’s Mantle Consecration.
We can now move on to the “46 Day Mary’s Mantle Journey” that Christine Watkins is leading us on to the great Feast of the Assumption with Fr. James Siler and Dr. Christine Bacon.
On July 1, 2026 – the Feast of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ – a battle cry went out for all prayer warriors to take up their rosaries, fast and do penance for 46 days uniting together for the following intentions:
For world peace and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary . . .
In reparation for sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
An end to the culture of death and paganism.
For the Holy Souls in Purgatory and the Conversion of Sinners.
For every nation to honor Christ the King.
For the U.S.A. to truly be “one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Below is just part of the heavenly words spoken to St. Juan Diego when Our Lady introduced Herself as “the ever-Virgin Mary, mother of the true God who gives life and maintains its existence.”
She continued to speak to the heart of little Juan Diego with the following:
“Do not fear any illness or vexation, anguish or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?”
Is there anything we need if indeed She is our Mother?
In Mary’s Mantle Consecration – A Spiritual Retreat for Heaven’s Help, we are called to be “Stars”…inflaming our souls as Christine writes – with “virtues and the gifts of the Holy Spirit – to desire to love God and our neighbor more deeply!
Bingo! This is where the image that I came home with on the 45th anniversary of Medugorje meets “Mary’s Mantle Consecration” right in the “Folds of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Mantle!!!”
It’s in the words to “desire to love God and our neighbor more deeply!”
I’m sorry but I cannot quote from a specific source that I read the following from – but possibly in the Sorrows of Mary. The words have always remained in my heart thinking of Our Lady – the Mother of Jesus and what She must have felt when He was stripped naked before being crucified. It was said that She took her “Mantle” off and covered His body with the folds of material that had covered Her head.
Did Jesus think, too, of words that hadn’t been spoken in Guadalupe but at Calvary first “are you not in the folds of my Mantle?”
I couldn’t help but think of all this as I pondered the above image of Jesus on the Cross wrapped in folds of fabric around His waist. One cannot notice the “gentleness and love” that the Child wraps the wounds of Jesus within the bandages.
What if we were to bandage not only Jesus consoling and comforting Him for the sins of the world – but also during these next 46 days – bandage the world that is suffering?
What might our bandages look like during these 46 days of Mary’s Mantle Consecration? How might we be able to “bandage” the suffering country of Venezuela and other parts of the world?
Part of a message to Mirjana from the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sarajevo on January 28, 1987:
“Pray with me! Do not deceive yourselves in thinking I am good, but my brother, who lives next to me is not good. You will be mistaken. I love you because I am your mother, and I warn you.
There are the secrets my children. One does not know what they are; when they learn, it will be too late.
Return to prayer! Nothing is more necessary. I would like it if the Lord would have permitted me to show you just a little about the secrets, but, He already gives you enough graces.
Think! What do you offer to Him in return. When was the last time you gave up something for the Lord?
I will not blame you further, but again, I call you to prayer, fasting and to penance.
If you wish to obtain a grace from the Lord by fasting, then let no one know that you are fasting. If you wish to obtain the grace of God through a gift to the poor, let no one know it, except you and the Lord.
Listen to me, my children. Meditate on my message in prayer.”
What if we not only “shower” Jesus with our Love…but also our neighbor. The neighbor who lives next door to us – the neighbor on the supermarket line behind us or in front of us. The “neighbor” whom we may never meet that lives across the world or is suffering from the earthquakes in Venezuela.
Could we not “bandage” those wounds of Jesus but also the wounds of those who need consolation and kindness with our ” prayers offered through fasting.” Could we give up something for Jesus – something that only He knows we are detaching from? Would this be something we could incorporate into our retreat journey for the next 46 days.
For now…..let us ponder this images especially the one as the featured photo….and see what Our Blessed Mother desires of us during these 46 Days leading up to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It’s not to late to run to the front lines and join your sisters and brothers in bandaging the world with our prayers.
Jesus loves us and loves the world….Let us do something special for Him alone during Mary’s Mantle Consecration.
For in doing so…..we are doing so for the whole world. Let us pray for peace and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

AMEN!!! We need to pray like never before for all families, friends, church, country and the whole world…to bandage wounds and heal souls…in obedience to Our Blessed Mother and for Her Triumph. Our prayers, works and penances will serve as bandages for our wounded world.
