“Called to be Stars for the Kingdom of God!” The trumpet has blared! Listen to See!
Yes! Yes! Yes! – We have given our fiats and if you haven’t already – YOU STILL HAVE TIME!
Today – this July 1, 2025 – we are making history! We begin united with Fr. Richard Heilman, Doug Barry and Christine Watkins and the “multitude” of our sisters and brothers that form the Body of Christ!
We enter into a journey with “Mary’s Mantle Consecration” for 46 days that commences on August 15, 2025 – The Feast of The Blessed Mother’s Assumption.
The response has been so great and overwhelming that Christine has posted on this website the “first 7 days” of “Mary’s Mantle Consecration” book along with the “first 7 days” of “Mary’s Mantle Journal.” You will also find a button to access the “introductory material” for the Consecration as well. So, again – if you have not given your “yes” – give it NOW! Order your books today – it is not too late!
We are Called
Our Lady of Guadalupe first appeared to St. Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac in 1531 in Mexico. She identified herself as the Mother of God and the Mother of all humanity. Her first request was to ask for Juan to build her a shrine where she was standing before him. It seems Our Blessed Mother always requests this of the “visionaries” to whom she appears. She wants desperately to bring her Son to her children and make Him known to the world.
“Called to be stars for the Kingdom” is what we are being called to do “today” this July 1, 2025! We are being called to pray, pray, pray. We are being called to bring others to Jesus Christ through the prayer of the rosary, fasting and the contemplation of virtues and the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Did You Know?
Did you know that Admiral Doria possessed a rare copy of the image of Guadalupe and took the painting with him to the Battle of Lepanto?
I believe Our Lady of Guadalupe wants us to know this important fact of history!
“According to Brother John M. Samaha for the University of Dayton, “Throughout Europe copies of the holy image had been circulated. One of the first copies was given to Admiral Giovanni Andrea Doria, grandnephew of the renowned Admiral Andrea Doria. The young admiral took the picture aboard his flagship when he assumed command of a flotilla of ships sailing from Genoa to the Gulf of Lepanto.”
The Battle of Lepanto was fought on October 7, 1571, and it is said that during the battle, “Doria went to his cabin and knelt in prayer before the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.”
Prior to the battle, Pope Pius V had encouraged everyone to pray the Rosary, and many of the sailors prayed the Rosary the night before.
Miraculously, the Christian fleet was victorious and many believed it was due to the protection of the Virgin Mary.”
Stars for the Kingdom of God
I looked up the definition of “star” earlier this morning when inspired to write this blog today.
Here is the “scientific” definition:
“a fixed luminous point in the night sky which is a large, remote incandescent body like the sun.”
Here is the “Hollywood” definition:
The Star personality type within a work context symbolizes individuals
who are inspirational, idealistic, and visionary.
Stars are recognized for their ability to see the bigger picture,
inspire others towards a common goal, and lead with charisma and confidence.
The Bigger Picture
I had a pre-conceived idea of what possibly the definition for “Hollywood Stars” would be before I looked it up. I was quite surprised to see that one of the sentences stood out describing what this “consecration” is all about.
“Stars are recognized for their ability to see the bigger picture,
inspire others towards a common goal, and lead with charisma and confidence.”
Are we not being “called” today like never before – possibly even bigger than the “Lepanto Battle” to take up our rosaries – to be lead towards a common goal? Are we not being “called” to be “stars” to illuminate the darkness of this world and to bring not only hope but joy, peace and love to our brothers and sisters?
Just like “Lepanto” we, too, are being called to take up our rosaries. We are being called to get down on our knees like never before. We are called to drop our phones like lead balloons and take up our rosaries.
Pope Pius V encouraged everyone to pray the rosary at the time of Lepanto and now let us hear that call once again through Mary’s Mantle Consecration.
In Union There is Strength
On Page 14 of Christine’s book – Mary’s Mantle Consecration – I quote from the last paragraph of the page:
“In his book, The Secret of the Rosary, St. Louis-Marie de Montfort wrote:
“Somebody who says his Rosary alone only gains the merit of one Rosary,
but if he says it together with thirty other people, he gains the merit of thirty Rosaries.”
To quote Christine:
“When the preparation for consecration is done in this way, imagine the JOY it brings to Mary and the glory it gives to God. In a group of 46 people participating, each person receives the merits of 2,116 Rosaries and 46 days of fasting. This spiritual multiplier effect will be even greater for larger groups. Miracles will happen!”
Stars and Roses
The number “46” is quoted above because there were 46 stars glistening on the Mantle of Mary when she appeared to Juan Diego. So much has been written and documented about not only St. Juan’s “tilma” but also every detail of the miraculous appearance of Mother Mary – Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The men that stood before her were seen in the pupil of her eyes. The “stars” on her Mantle actually sang out notes of heavenly music. So much – so very much to absorb into our souls of the “miraculous and divine!”
Can you imagine being present in that room when little “Juanito” opened his tilma to all those standing before him. They dropped to their knees in “awe.” I do not think it is a coincidence that the 46th star in Mary’s Mantle Consecration is “AWE.” Awe is called the “Fear of the Lord – one of the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
“Fear of the Lord refers to a deep respect and awe for God,
recognizing His greatness and our own limitations.
It is often seen as the beginning of wisdom, leading to a right relationship with God
and an understanding of His love and forgiveness.”
In the “eternal” there is no time. Let us ponder that thought! We, too, in our rosaries, our prayers, our meditations can also be present at the moment of the unfolding of the “tilma.” We can also envision all the men with rosaries in hand during the Battle of Lepanto and the multitudes that must have dropped to their knees as well at the call of Pope Pius V! Let us gain our strength today from “past history” and bring it into this “present day!”
Linked Together
As always, I have to admit that I had not a clue that I would be writing a blog today. I was truly excited to begin this Consecration with our prayer group once again. We had first taken this journey back in May of 2019 and the results were beyond miraculous. . .so the anticipation level is high to say the least.
Earlier this morning – I began my morning prayer using the book “He and I” and opening up randomly to a passage contained within its’ pages.
“When you are at My feet praying or meditating,
why not be one in spirit with all the pure in heart who are praying and meditating?
You aren’t a little Church all by yourself.
You are part of the great activity of Christ in the breath of the Spirit.
And in isolating yourself you would break the chain.
So be linked together with other fervent people and aware of My desire for you all to be one.”
Let us be linked together in a mighty
Consecration
for the next 46 Days
